MOTHER'S DAY
I can't believe I'm going to be a part of that day now! Unbelievable! Hope all the Moms had a wonderful weekend! I had a nice weekend in Wimberley visiting family. Such a neat little town! I got to see Ryan and Monica's new house! It was really cool! I'm happy for them. I got to see Lina! She's getting so big! She just started to walk and I got to see her take several steps at a time! I can't believe how quickly babies grow! Got to see Kelsey, too. The trip was short, but well worth getting to see everybody. I wish my Kelly could have gone, but there will be plenty of other trips!

WADE HOLIDAY CATCH UP
Well, it's been too long since the last time I posted anything. So much has gone on between Thanksgiving and now. I'll start by blogging about Christmas and work my way up to the present. I apologize for anyone who has been keeping up with this blog. Not sure if anyone does, but hey, thought I would apologize anyway! Hope you didn't give up! Ha!
A week before Christmas, we moved into our new house! We had been looking for several months and finally found the perfect house. We knew it would be hectic moving in right before Christmas, but we enjoyed it anyway! I am so proud of Kelly for working so hard and being smart with his money. All that saving while we were in our old house paid off. Now, we have a beautiful home to raise our family in. I am so grateful! I love you, babe! :)
Christmas Eve, I went over to Stanton and spent it with my parents and other family. Kelly had to work on Christmas Eve. My Dad cooked a big Christmas Eve dinner! Prime rib, along with other stuff that was delicious!!! We visited and opened presents. We watched Lina open her first Christmas present and watched Ryan's dog, Bougues, open a present as well. It was hilarious! It was Bougues' 14th Christmas, so we figured he deserved to open his own. :)
Christmas morning, Kelly came home! We went over to his Dad's house first. We had lunch and opened presents. We got some really nice stuff and enjoyed hanging out there. Then, made our way to Stanton to hang out a little bit. Then, we went to Big Spring and spent the evening with Kelly's Mom's side of the family. We ate and opened presents. Kelly's Mom's side has a tradition that they call the "cheap bird award" that they give to someone every Christmas. This is given to someone in the family who has done well with their money all year and deserves to be recognized. We won this year! Of course, the award has something to do with a bird. We received a beautiful stained glass picture of birds. We won because we had saved up for our new house. It was really neat to get to be a part of the tradition and win! :)
Kelly was at work during New Years so I spent it with my parents in Stanton. We watched movies all evening and had wine! When there is wine, it's always a good time! ;)
I was off of work for two weeks during the holidays. I spent most of my time fixing up our new house. It was really nice being able to have all that time off! Especially, since we had moved. It gave me time to unpack and get things ready. I also had plenty of time to spend with family.
On January 28th, Kelly and I celebrated our 4th year together! We went out to eat and had a nice time.
Well, I think I got everyone just about caught up. I'll try and keep you updated from now on! I've posted a few pictures of Christmas on our photo album. Pictures of our new house are up, too. Happy New Year!

MY BIRTHDAY
My birthday was Sunday, the 25th. On Saturday, Kelly took me out to lunch to Pizzeria Venti. Then took me shopping. On my birthday, we went to Stanton and my Mom cooked me some Chicken fried steak (it's so good) and made me a really cute Eiffel tower cake (there are more pics of it in our album). I opened a couple of presents and later that evening, Ryan and Monica came into town with Miss Lina! I can't believe I'm 25!! Time sure flies. I had a pretty good birthday!

OUR HONEYMOON IN PARIS, FRANCE
I'm sure you're wondering what we did the whole time? Well, we did A LOT of walking!! That was what we did most of our trip. We enjoyed just walking around and seeing the sights. We got lost a few times, but hey, it didn't matter! We were in Paris! :) We did lots and lots of window shopping. Everything was very expensive so we mostly looked. We did give in and got a few little things though. ;)
The food was amazing. When we decided we were hungry, we would walk around until we found a good looking place and stop and eat. They had restaurants and cafes everywhere! As you can see, we ate a lot of Escargot! It was fabulous! We were a little worried when they brought them out to us still inside the shell. We were used to them already being out of the shell so we had fun trying to get them out! Lots of meat and fries, yes fries. The French really do eat French fries! We had a little sea food as well. It was wonderful! We had some of the best homemade sandwiches for lunch. Kelly had a French hot dog and we also had the most delicious chicken Panini's. Just about everywhere we went, we had a glass of wine. The wine was wonderful! I also had a Late and it was really good!
We spent almost a whole day at the Louvre looking at all the famous art work. This is one of the biggest museums in the world, if not the biggest. You will see some pictures and I also have video footage to let you see just how huge it really is! The Mona Lisa is in this museum as well as the Venus de Milo. Sorry if I don't know what some of the pictures that I took were! Everything in the Louvre was in French, so at times, we didn't really know what we were looking at because nothing was in English inside the Louvre. Watch out for scammers if you ever visit the Louvre. There are people everywhere outside the Louvre trying to trick you and get money. Yeah, we fell for it the first time, but knew better when it happened again!
We went on a boat tour down the Seine River. This river runs straight through all the main sights from the Eiffel tower to the Notre Dame! We have video footage and pictures from this tour.
We went on a bus tour at night to see "the city of lights" at night! Beautiful! The Eiffel tower at night is the most beautiful sight in Paris! It twinkles with thousands of what looks like Christmas lights.
The weather was very nice! It was high 60's to low 70's the whole time we were there. It rained almost everyday. It wasn't a miserable rain though. It was a light rain on and off all day. Good thing I was prepared and packed small umbrellas that we could carry with us. It was pretty cloudy and dark the whole time. The sun came out a few times, but not very much. Kelly and I like that type of weather though so we enjoyed it!
Seeing all the different cultures and experiencing a whole different world together was a wonderful experience and we hope that we can do it again one day!! I think we saw as much as we could see in five days without rushing too much. We did explore a lot, but we did also relax as well. :) Hey, it was our honeymoon!!

3 MORE DAYS!!!
Yesterday after work, I stopped by the Mansion to check on things. They have already started getting it ready! I got to see the tables and chairs and even got to peek at my flowers!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!! It just got me even more excited! The colors are going to be so bright and pretty! Well, 3 more days and I'm Mrs. Wade! Right now, we're just running around doing last minute stuff. Everything has gone so smoothly. It's very strange. Haha!
Kelly and I are going to start packing our bags for Paris tonight! Can't believe it! I think we're both a little nervous about the flight, especially after hearing about the Air France flight that went down, but I'm sure things will be fine!! Be thinking of us!
Well, I'm just so excited to get to see everyone and for our families to meet one another! It's going to be so neat!

5 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!!
I thought I was going to have so much to do this weekend and really, I didn't have much to do at all!!! I've already gotten everything done, just about!! There are still things to do, but they are small things that I can't really do until the last minute anyway. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and to the big day!!! BABY SHOWER/BACHELORETTE PARTY
Baby shower
Monica, my sister-in-law, had the cutest baby shower! She got lots of good stuff and we had a good time playing "shower" games and eating cake! I'll post some pics later! She's getting big!!! In case you haven't been keeping up lately, she's due July 4th and they are having a little girl! Her name will be Lina Avery Coggin.
Bachelorette party
I had an AWESOME bachelorette/lingerie party!! We all went out to eat at a place called Opal Divine's. It was really good! I opened presents! Got some really pretty stuff! Hehe! :) Then, we went to a comedy club on 6th street called Esther's Follies. It was A GREAT time! It was SO funny and I ended up being part of the act!! I got cut in half by a magician!! If you are ever in Austin, do go to this place! You'll LOVE it! After that, we made our rounds downtown to some of the night clubs. After about an hour or two, we left and headed back to Ryan and Monica's house where we ended our night. They had the place decorated and had "refreshments" ready for us! It was good to see everyone and thanks so much for everyone that came and hung out! I have pics that I'll post soon!
Kelly's bachelor party
Kelly had his bachelor party this weekend also. He went to Dallas with some friends. He hasn't made it back yet, so not sure what all fun they had? I know that they spent a day at Six Flags and had a blast!

1 MONTH TO GO!
After the shower, we went flower girl dress shopping. That was an experience! We had a few meltdowns, but I think little Roxy and Cypress really loved their dresses in the end. They each had their minds set on a certain color and when we told them that they weren't going to get to wear it, they weren't too happy about it! Ha!
Kelly and I are taking more engagement pics this Saturday!!! :)

DIRECTIONS TO SHOWER IN STANTON
Coming from Big Spring....To get to the shower, you exit onto I-20 W and take exit 158 to Stanton. It's the first exit into Stanton. It might even say "West Stanton"....can't remember exactly. Once you exit, you stay on that road. It turns into Highway 80 when you start coming into town. Then you turn right on St. Mary Street. You'll run into Broadway st. and you'll see the church. It's the First Baptist Church. It's yellow. It's right across the street from the courthouse. You can't miss it. It's right by downtown and it's just about in the center of Stanton. If you get turned around just call me and I'll try and help ya. You shouldn't have any problems though!
Coming from Midland...it's the first exit to Stanton. Exit 154. Once you exit, you stay on that road. It's Highway 80. Then you turn left on St. Mary Street. You'll run into Broadway St. and you'll see the church. It's in the center of town across the street from the courthouse. Can't miss it!

100 DAY MARK!!
UPDATES:
This past weekend, My mom and I went to pick out flowers and decorations! It's going to be SO SO pretty!! Don't want to say much about how it will look, but keep in mind that my colors are tropical blue and black, my flowers are orange and pink, and my theme is still "Paris".
Then, we went and met with a photographer and booked her! I was really wanting my sister-in-law to take the pictures at the wedding, but she is in the ceremony and will be 8 months pregnant! Didn't think she would want to be walking around taking pictures all night! We don't want her to have the baby at the wedding now do we? HAHA! No stress for the future "Coggin Mommy"! That kind of stuff should only be happening to me on that day! ;) Hehe. Anyway, my sister-in-law did help me pick out a good one! Her name is Angela Free. Check out her web page and you'll see that she is pretty awesome and she was really a nice person to talk to! Very down to earth! http://www.angelafree.com/
I'm finishing up invitations. I've decided that I will send them out around the beginning of April, but I did need a better head count for decoration purposes and will need to have a bridal shower list. I think there is going to be around 150 invitations sent out.
The Stanton paper lost the picture and write-up that I sent them, so just sent it to them again. I'm thinking they will have it in the paper soon enough. I have contacted the Big Spring paper about it and they have not responded. They put our write-up on their web page, but it was never put in the actual paper yet. We were in the Midland paper and their web site on Sunday, the 15th.
The bridal shower is being put together as we speak(or as I'm typing hehe). I have heard rumors of the date and place, but I'll post it when I know for sure. All I'll tell you right now is that it is going to be in Stanton and probably sometime in the month of May. Kelly and I have not registered anywhere yet, but thinking of registering soon when we are both off of work at the same time in Big Spring, Stanton, and Midland. Let you know on the places as soon as that gets done.
Hmmm...I think that's it right now!

Christmas
Christmas Eve morning, I went to Stanton and hung out with my family. My brother, sister-in-law, and sister came down from Austin. We did some last minute shopping and just hung out. Kelly had a rig move, but would have the evening off and Christmas day so it was worth it! :)
After Kelly came home that evening, we drove to Big Spring and had Christmas with his Mom's family at his Grandparents house. We opened presents and ate dinner. It was really nice because we don't get to see his family very often. Usually just for Christmas so it was nice to spend some time with them. After we finished up there, we went back home and had decided to have our Christmas with each other that night. We opened everything that we got each other. Kelly got me a beautiful diamond necklace with black and white diamonds! I had never seen black diamonds and I really love them! He also got me some really neat wine accessories that were very much needed. Ha! I got him clothes and a wallet. He really needed it! He still had one more present from me, but it was going to have to wait until Christmas day when we went to my parents house because it was hiding there. :)
On Christmas morning, we went to Kelly's dads house. Kelly's mom and brother were there and we opened presents. We visited and had lunch together. It was good to spend time with them. After lunch, we made it to Stanton to see my family. We opened presents again! Kelly got to open his big present from me. I took him into the garage and surprised him with a new BBQ grill! He was pretty excited because he loves to cook steaks and his old grill was getting pretty beat up! After we opened presents we visited and ate dinner.
We had a wonderful Christmas and were glad to share it with everyone we love! I forgot to take pictures, but I do have a couple of Christmas pics of the dogs! Enjoy!
Our wedding is just around the corner. I'm sure I will be posting wedding updates very soon! Stay tuned...

THANKSGIVING
The rest of the weekend turned out nice. When my sister came in, we went and ate lunch at Olive Garden and went shoe shopping! Got some cute new shoes that were on sale! :) Then, the day after Thanksgiving my mom and I went shopping in the afternoon. I know we're crazy, but we weren't in any kind of rush and didn't let the crowd get to us. It wasn't too bad. We got a lot of Christmas shopping done and out of the way. Saturday night, Kelly and I met up with my parents and sister at Pizza-ria Venti and had some awesome Italian food and wine. After we ate, we went back to my house and played some games. We played Uno and Apples to Apples. Fun times! The wine made it a little more interesting...haha! Sunday, Kelly and I headed to Stanton for breakfast and to tell my sister bye. Breakfast was AWESOME! My mom cooked waffles, bacon, and eggs. MMMMM!! After we ate and said bye, we went Christmas shopping back in Midland for a while. Then, we came home and put up the tree and decorations. I had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Two more weeks of work and I'm out for Christmas break! I'm sure I'll get to see more people for Christmas. Can't wait! :)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now.....Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

"Baby Coggin"
This is Monica's first pic of the baby! She is approximately 5 wks. pregnant and everything looks good! :) Everyone is very excited! In case you can't read the writing in the pic it says that the tiny white speck inside the little black circle is the baby and it's in the right spot! It's doing fine! :)

Halloween
Well, this is as dressed up as I got! :) Can you believe I didn't have one trick-or-treater come to our house on Halloween? What the heck??? I went and bought candy and threw up some decorations at the last minute and no one even showed up! This was the first Halloween I was actually home. I was all excited. Oh well. I guess people in Midland don't trick-or-treat much in neighborhoods anymore. When Kell got home, we had fun watching scary movies that night anyway and tried not to eat the big bowl of Halloween candy sitting in front of us. We had a little. Hehe.

Kelly and TJ Update
Ok, what’s been going on with me? Well, most of you know that I graduated from Cosmetology school about a year ago and started working in a salon. After a few months, I just knew it wasn’t for me. After I stopped, I decided that I wanted to try substitute teaching to see what that was all about. I did it for a few months right before school was out for the summer in Stanton. It was really interesting and fun being up there around my mom. It was strange being on the other side of things. Being the teacher instead of the student after all these years! Well, summer had arrived and I didn’t have a job again so I decided to start looking back at Midland College where I worked part-time while going to school. I applied for a few jobs there and nothing seemed to be working out. Then, all of a sudden, a job was available! My former boss and friend from Midland College had emailed me letting me know that she was resigning. It was the same job that I had part-time except it was full-time! I ended up getting it and that’s where I am today. I am a full-time clerk for the faculty work room. I recently figured out that I am only three classes away from having an Associates in General Studies so I’m going to go ahead and finish that up. Then, I don’t really know? I am thinking of going back to school eventually for some type of Business degree or possibly teaching. Right now, I'm just really tired of school. I know I will do something. I'll figure it out one day.
