1 YEAR FLEW BY

Kelly and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on Sunday the 6th. We had dinner at Wall street, one of our favorite places to go. We also got to get that cake outta the freezer finally!! We couldn't believe how moist it still was! It was so good! Just tasting it brought back memories of the big day. Washed it down with some sparkling cider! Haha! We were in Paris this time a year ago, too! Wish we could do it all over again, but we've got exciting things coming our way to look forward to! ;) So much can happen in a year! I still can't believe that there will be another person around in the next few months. So crazy!

BABY WADE UPDATE

Kelly and I went the Dr this morning to check on the thickness of the skin on "Baby Wade's" neck. At our first appointment, baby was too active and they couldn't get a good look at it. The thickness of the babies skin on the back of the neck determines whether or not the baby is at risk of being Autistic. "Baby Wade's" neck was normal so no worries! We ended up getting more great pictures so it was definitely worth the trip! :)

MOTHER'S DAY

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS!

I can't believe I'm going to be a part of that day now! Unbelievable! Hope all the Moms had a wonderful weekend! I had a nice weekend in Wimberley visiting family. Such a neat little town! I got to see Ryan and Monica's new house! It was really cool! I'm happy for them. I got to see Lina! She's getting so big! She just started to walk and I got to see her take several steps at a time! I can't believe how quickly babies grow! Got to see Kelsey, too. The trip was short, but well worth getting to see everybody. I wish my Kelly could have gone, but there will be plenty of other trips!

WADE HOLIDAY CATCH UP

Well, it's been too long since the last time I posted anything. So much has gone on between Thanksgiving and now. I'll start by blogging about Christmas and work my way up to the present. I apologize for anyone who has been keeping up with this blog. Not sure if anyone does, but hey, thought I would apologize anyway! Hope you didn't give up! Ha!

A week before Christmas, we moved into our new house! We had been looking for several months and finally found the perfect house. We knew it would be hectic moving in right before Christmas, but we enjoyed it anyway! I am so proud of Kelly for working so hard and being smart with his money. All that saving while we were in our old house paid off. Now, we have a beautiful home to raise our family in. I am so grateful! I love you, babe! :)

Christmas Eve, I went over to Stanton and spent it with my parents and other family. Kelly had to work on Christmas Eve. My Dad cooked a big Christmas Eve dinner! Prime rib, along with other stuff that was delicious!!! We visited and opened presents. We watched Lina open her first Christmas present and watched Ryan's dog, Bougues, open a present as well. It was hilarious! It was Bougues' 14th Christmas, so we figured he deserved to open his own. :)

Christmas morning, Kelly came home! We went over to his Dad's house first. We had lunch and opened presents. We got some really nice stuff and enjoyed hanging out there. Then, made our way to Stanton to hang out a little bit. Then, we went to Big Spring and spent the evening with Kelly's Mom's side of the family. We ate and opened presents. Kelly's Mom's side has a tradition that they call the "cheap bird award" that they give to someone every Christmas. This is given to someone in the family who has done well with their money all year and deserves to be recognized. We won this year! Of course, the award has something to do with a bird. We received a beautiful stained glass picture of birds. We won because we had saved up for our new house. It was really neat to get to be a part of the tradition and win! :)

Kelly was at work during New Years so I spent it with my parents in Stanton. We watched movies all evening and had wine! When there is wine, it's always a good time! ;)

I was off of work for two weeks during the holidays. I spent most of my time fixing up our new house. It was really nice being able to have all that time off! Especially, since we had moved. It gave me time to unpack and get things ready. I also had plenty of time to spend with family.

On January 28th, Kelly and I celebrated our 4th year together! We went out to eat and had a nice time.

Well, I think I got everyone just about caught up. I'll try and keep you updated from now on! I've posted a few pictures of Christmas on our photo album. Pictures of our new house are up, too. Happy New Year!

THANKSGIVING

Kelly and I had Thanksgiving with his Dad this year. He had to go back to work the next day, so I drove up to Austin to spend the weekend with family. I spent time in Wimberly, Austin, and Buda, TX! Had a good time. I got to see where my sister lives while she's going to school at UT. And of course...I got to see Lina! I have more pics in album.

DALLAS COWBOYS GAME

Kelly and I went to the Dallas Cowboys game this weekend with his Dad! Mark and the boys happened to be playing outside the stadium as well so we got to see them, too! They set up right outside the stadium and played before the game. It was good to see them play. Then, we went to the game! Got to see the new stadium! It was amazing! The screen was awesome! We caught ourselves watching the screen more than watching the actual game. Haha! We picked a good game to go to cause they won and it was really exciting! Normally, I don't care for watching football, but being there to see it all was really fun (more pics in album).

LINA VISIT

Lina came to visit! I took the day off and spent some time with Miss Lina and Monica. I got to hold, feed, change, burp, and play with her! Got some cute pics in my album. We even carved a pumpkin for Halloween! Lina is just getting so big! Can't wait to see her again already!

MY BIRTHDAY

My birthday was Sunday, the 25th. On Saturday, Kelly took me out to lunch to Pizzeria Venti. Then took me shopping. On my birthday, we went to Stanton and my Mom cooked me some Chicken fried steak (it's so good) and made me a really cute Eiffel tower cake (there are more pics of it in our album). I opened a couple of presents and later that evening, Ryan and Monica came into town with Miss Lina! I can't believe I'm 25!! Time sure flies. I had a pretty good birthday!

SELLING AVON

I've decided to start selling Avon to make some extra money. Thought I would give Avon a try and see what happens. Your business would be greatly appreciated! It's getting close to the holidays and Avon has some good gift ideas! Keeps you from having to go out and fight holiday crowds. You can order from me online or I can send you a brochure. Email me at teej1025@yahoo.com and I'll give you the link to my page.

Kelly's birthday was on the 23rd. We went out to eat with some of his family and went to his Dad's place for cake and presents. There are more pictures on the album. Kelly is now 26 years old!! Old man! :)

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

This weekend was great! I spent all day Saturday in Stanton with my parents, Monica, and Lina!! I got to hold Lina a bunch! :) I even got to change a diaper. I even got spit up on! Haha! ;) That's ok! I guess I better get as much experience as I possibly can! I was never really around babies growing up so I'm a little clueless on what to expect. Even after just one day of hanging out with Lina, I think I have a better idea. A LOT OF WORK! I really enjoyed holding her and can't wait to see her again! I think I am starting to feel a little more comfortable when holding her. I just hadn't had much practice! She is just so active already. She is already holding her head up and smiling away. She's very aware and is only 2 months old! She's going to be very smart! I have more pictures on our web album. :)

Sunday morning Kelly and I made a quick trip to Ruidoso to meet his dad. We went horse back riding and ate some good food. :) It was a quick trip, but worth it. The weather was really nice. It rained and was a lot cooler than Midland. We came back Monday and had dinner with my family. We got to see Monica, Ryan, and Lina one more time before they went back home.

COULDN'T RESIST...

I couldn't resist posting these cute pictures of Miss Lina!!! I've got a couple more new ones in our photo album that were sent to us from Monica. Enjoy!! :)

KELLY GOT A PROMOTION!

Congrats to my hubby!!!! He got promoted to Tool Pusher on his rig! His first day was today. He's in charge of keeping the rig up and running. If there's a problem out there that the Driller can't handle, he's the one to take care of it. I'm just so proud of him!! He's so smart and works so hard! He will be spending a lot of time out on the rig, but will also be spending the same amount of time that he's out on the rig at home so that will be awesome! I just know that he'll do wonderful! I know his family is very proud as well. We love you Kelly and congrats!!! :)

HOUSE UPDATE

Well, we decided not to go with the house we had in mind. It happened to be close to a golf course, which we knew, but didn't know that it was going to be right in the path of flying golf balls! There were a lot of balls in the back yard and some had even been hitting the roof! Kelly and I thought that this wouldn't be a good idea for future children, of course. We want our kids to be safe while playing in the back yard and not have to worry about them getting hit! That goes for company and us as well! Just not a good idea! We're back to looking again and will let you know what we find! :)

HOUSE HUNTING

So Kell and I have been looking around for a new home the passed couple of weeks. We weren't planning on looking for a new place for a while, but because of events that have happened in our neighborhood in the past year, we decided it was time to start looking. We knew we eventually wanted a place that was big enough to start raising a family. We have found a place and are pretty sure that we're going to get it!!! It's not official, but it could possibly be within the next couple of days!!! I'll let ya know for sure as soon as I find out! :)

3 NEW LINA PICS

Check out three new pics of Lina on our photo album! :)

MISSING TITO

A couple of days ago my parents dog, Tito, disappeared. He's been a part of the family for around 10 years. He snuck passed my mom while she was coming through the back gate of their yard and must have wandered off down the street. We've been looking for him ever since. If anyone from Stanton reads this, please let us know if you see him! We miss the little guy!! He's smaller than the average Chihuahua. He's a Tea-cup Chihuahua. He didn't have a collar on at the time.

NEW PHOTO ALBUM SITE

I've been working on a place to have our pictures separate from the blog so that it doesn't get so crowded. Too many pics make the site not work as well. Anyway, wanted to let you know that I'll be moving them all to a different site. The link to this site will be under the our "favorites" column. I called it "Kelly and TJ's Photo Album". All the pics that I've posted on the blog will be on this site instead. I will still post a few pics and will keep posting updates on the blog. I just wanted our pics to all be together in one place. I think this makes it easier for people to look at and will keep the blog running more smoothly. :)

WEDDING PICS ARE HERE!!!!!

Ok, so there are a TON of good wedding pics and I don't even have them all posted!!! They turned out so so beautiful!!! Hope you enjoy! They are all available to see on our new photo site. Click on the link under our "favorites" column that says "Kelly and TJ's Photo Album" to take a look. I have them a little more organized now that I have moved them to this new site. You can also still leave comments under each picture. I even think you might be able to buy prints through this site.

I have contacted the Midland, Big Spring, and Stanton paper and they should be putting our wedding announcement in the paper soon. Not sure when it will be in Stanton or Big Spring? Keep a look out! It will be in the Midland paper on Sunday (19th).

4TH OF JULY TRIP

We went to Possum Kingdom Lake for the 4th. Kelly's Dad has a boat there. We went tubing and had a blast riding around in his boat! Kelly's cousins Shay and Kenzie met us there and got to hang out! We went and watched the firework show at Hell's Gate. Very awesome! I only wish I would have gotten a picture of Kirk's boat! It's very nice! I'll get one next time! (View the rest of these pics on our photo album site).

Lina Avery was born June 30th at 9:30am. She weighed 6lbs and 7oz and is 19in long!! She has dark hair and olive colored skin like Monica. Not sure what color her eyes are yet? Any of it could change. She could have some red in her hair, just can't tell yet. She's so so beautiful!!! I'm officially Aunt TJ!! I'm very proud of Ryan and Monica!!! They will be good parents! My Dad and I got to Austin just in time to hear her first cry! She brought the rain with her! While she was being delivered the electricity went off in the hospital! It was very stormy that morning! Everyone is in good health and Monica did a wonderful job! :) (View more pics on our photo album site).

PRESENT WITH NO NAME

I received a gift at the wedding with butterfly wrapping paper. It was a photo album and a picture frame inside. I have no idea who it's from! There was no name with the present that I could see. If it's from you or from someone you know, please let me know! I want to send them a Thank you card! :)

BACK TO REALITY

Well, we are now a married couple! All the wedding planning is over and done with and now, the honeymoon is over. Kinda sad. But of course, I am still happy as can be! Kelly and I are back at work and back doing what we did before the wedding. Things are a little different though. :) In a good way! Being in Paris was one of the best experiences for Kell and I both to share together. I'm sure we'll have to go back one day. Maybe for our 10 year anniversary! ;) I suppose now, we'll start planning out our future together. I'm sure everyone's next big question is, "So....when are ya'll going to start having kids"? Well, I can't exactly say for sure, but I'll leave you with one word. Soon. And that's all you get!!! ;)

MARRIAGE LICENSE

I GOT MY MARRIAGE LICENSE BACK!! It's time to start getting my name changed officially. I've got to make a special trip to get my social and driver's license changed! Now, I am officially Mrs. TJ Wade! Can you believe it? It finally happened. I'm headed to the long lines on Friday morning to get it done.

WEDDING PICS COMING SOON

Well, we haven't met back with our photographer yet to get our pictures. We've been really busy and we're trying to find some time for both of us to go down and pick out pics for our wedding album. Our appointment is set up for July 10th so I should be posting them soon after that.

OUR HONEYMOON IN PARIS, FRANCE

Well, we had the most amazing time in Paris. We have a ton of pictures to share with you. All the Paris you can handle! We are very excited to show everyone. I will hopefully have a couple of videos that we made for you to see soon. It's taking me a while to get everything together, but I'll get it soon enough! Enjoy!!

I'm sure you're wondering what we did the whole time? Well, we did A LOT of walking!! That was what we did most of our trip. We enjoyed just walking around and seeing the sights. We got lost a few times, but hey, it didn't matter! We were in Paris! :) We did lots and lots of window shopping. Everything was very expensive so we mostly looked. We did give in and got a few little things though. ;)

The food was amazing. When we decided we were hungry, we would walk around until we found a good looking place and stop and eat. They had restaurants and cafes everywhere! As you can see, we ate a lot of Escargot! It was fabulous! We were a little worried when they brought them out to us still inside the shell. We were used to them already being out of the shell so we had fun trying to get them out! Lots of meat and fries, yes fries. The French really do eat French fries! We had a little sea food as well. It was wonderful! We had some of the best homemade sandwiches for lunch. Kelly had a French hot dog and we also had the most delicious chicken Panini's. Just about everywhere we went, we had a glass of wine. The wine was wonderful! I also had a Late and it was really good!

We spent almost a whole day at the Louvre looking at all the famous art work. This is one of the biggest museums in the world, if not the biggest. You will see some pictures and I also have video footage to let you see just how huge it really is! The Mona Lisa is in this museum as well as the Venus de Milo. Sorry if I don't know what some of the pictures that I took were! Everything in the Louvre was in French, so at times, we didn't really know what we were looking at because nothing was in English inside the Louvre. Watch out for scammers if you ever visit the Louvre. There are people everywhere outside the Louvre trying to trick you and get money. Yeah, we fell for it the first time, but knew better when it happened again!

We went on a boat tour down the Seine River. This river runs straight through all the main sights from the Eiffel tower to the Notre Dame! We have video footage and pictures from this tour.

We went on a bus tour at night to see "the city of lights" at night! Beautiful! The Eiffel tower at night is the most beautiful sight in Paris! It twinkles with thousands of what looks like Christmas lights.

The weather was very nice! It was high 60's to low 70's the whole time we were there. It rained almost everyday. It wasn't a miserable rain though. It was a light rain on and off all day. Good thing I was prepared and packed small umbrellas that we could carry with us. It was pretty cloudy and dark the whole time. The sun came out a few times, but not very much. Kelly and I like that type of weather though so we enjoyed it!

Seeing all the different cultures and experiencing a whole different world together was a wonderful experience and we hope that we can do it again one day!! I think we saw as much as we could see in five days without rushing too much. We did explore a lot, but we did also relax as well. :) Hey, it was our honeymoon!!

DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING

All the girls who were in town the day before the wedding went to Gala Nails to relax and get pampered before the big day. There were more people who came that I didn't get a picture of....sorry to those people! Don't mean to leave you out, I promise! :) (View the rest of these on our album).

3 MORE DAYS!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Well, I felt a little stress starting yesterday. People started calling me asking me last minute questions while I was working. Got a little bit crazy during the afternoon. Ran into a few kinks, but I think everything is ok now. Haha! I'm sure there will be a few more bumps in the road, but that's ok. I think I can handle it. Even if something does go wrong, the wedding will go on and we'll be happy no matter what! :)

Yesterday after work, I stopped by the Mansion to check on things. They have already started getting it ready! I got to see the tables and chairs and even got to peek at my flowers!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!!! It just got me even more excited! The colors are going to be so bright and pretty! Well, 3 more days and I'm Mrs. Wade! Right now, we're just running around doing last minute stuff. Everything has gone so smoothly. It's very strange. Haha!

Kelly and I are going to start packing our bags for Paris tonight! Can't believe it! I think we're both a little nervous about the flight, especially after hearing about the Air France flight that went down, but I'm sure things will be fine!! Be thinking of us!

Well, I'm just so excited to get to see everyone and for our families to meet one another! It's going to be so neat!

5 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! WE'RE GETTING HITCHED IN 5 DAYS!!!!

I thought I was going to have so much to do this weekend and really, I didn't have much to do at all!!! I've already gotten everything done, just about!! There are still things to do, but they are small things that I can't really do until the last minute anyway. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and to the big day!!! I will post some pics, I promise!!! It just may not be until everything calms down after we get back from the honeymoon and stuff!!!

BABY SHOWER/BACHELORETTE PARTY

I HAD A BLAST THIS WEEKEND!!! My mom, sister, and a friend of the family, drove to Austin for a fun filled weekend!!!

Baby shower
Monica, my sister-in-law, had the cutest baby shower! She got lots of good stuff and we had a good time playing "shower" games and eating cake! I'll post some pics later! She's getting big!!! In case you haven't been keeping up lately, she's due July 4th and they are having a little girl! Her name will be Lina Avery Coggin.

Bachelorette party
I had an AWESOME bachelorette/lingerie party!! We all went out to eat at a place called Opal Divine's. It was really good! I opened presents! Got some really pretty stuff! Hehe! :) Then, we went to a comedy club on 6th street called Esther's Follies. It was A GREAT time! It was SO funny and I ended up being part of the act!! I got cut in half by a magician!! If you are ever in Austin, do go to this place! You'll LOVE it! After that, we made our rounds downtown to some of the night clubs. After about an hour or two, we left and headed back to Ryan and Monica's house where we ended our night. They had the place decorated and had "refreshments" ready for us! It was good to see everyone and thanks so much for everyone that came and hung out! I have pics that I'll post soon!

Kelly's bachelor party
Kelly had his bachelor party this weekend also. He went to Dallas with some friends. He hasn't made it back yet, so not sure what all fun they had? I know that they spent a day at Six Flags and had a blast!

MARRIAGE LICENSE

Well, I need to catch everyone up with what's been going on lately! Kelly and I went last week and got our marriage license!! I've been meeting back up with everyone involved in the wedding and finalizing plans! Can you believe it's only 11 days until we're Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Wade? I CAN'T WAIT to see everyone!!!! This is going to be the neatest wedding! I'm SO looking forward to seeing how it all turns out! I don't have to wait too much longer. Paris is right around the corner as well! We're both REALLY excited about that!

1 MONTH TO GO!

ONE MONTH AS OF TODAY!!! AHHHH!! Time is just flyin' by!! This past weekend was my shower in Stanton and it was really really .....perfect!!! It looked great and even better than I imagined! I'm working on getting some pics posted as soon as I can! My hostesses did a magnificent job on following my Paris theme!!! I got a lot of great stuff and thank you to everyone for the wonderful gifts and to everyone who had a part in it!! Also, thank you to everyone who attended! It was nice to see you! I'll be getting busy writing Thank You notes this weekend!

After the shower, we went flower girl dress shopping. That was an experience! We had a few meltdowns, but I think little Roxy and Cypress really loved their dresses in the end. They each had their minds set on a certain color and when we told them that they weren't going to get to wear it, they weren't too happy about it! Ha!

Kelly and I are taking more engagement pics this Saturday!!! :)

SURPRISE SHOWER!!!

When I got back from lunch yesterday, I was surprised to find a group of people in my office, cake, punch, flowers, and a money tree!!! That was the coolest thing ever!!! Everyone from the MC Tech and Business Studies had chipped in for my surprise shower!! I just feel so blessed to be working with such generous people, not just people, my good friends at MC. It really meant a lot to me. Not only to me, to Kelly as well. Not only did we have a party with all the stuff that I mentioned, they also surprised me with the camera that I had selected from my Walmart registry!!! SO NICE!! Thank you so much to everyone at MC!!! I have a few pics that I took with my phone. Then, I have a few that other people took that I will post when I get them later.

DIRECTIONS TO SHOWER IN STANTON

For anyone who doesn't know their way around Stanton, here are some directions to get there that I hope are helpful!

Coming from Big Spring....To get to the shower, you exit onto I-20 W and take exit 158 to Stanton. It's the first exit into Stanton. It might even say "West Stanton"....can't remember exactly. Once you exit, you stay on that road. It turns into Highway 80 when you start coming into town. Then you turn right on St. Mary Street. You'll run into Broadway st. and you'll see the church. It's the First Baptist Church. It's yellow. It's right across the street from the courthouse. You can't miss it. It's right by downtown and it's just about in the center of Stanton. If you get turned around just call me and I'll try and help ya. You shouldn't have any problems though!

Coming from Midland...it's the first exit to Stanton. Exit 154. Once you exit, you stay on that road. It's Highway 80. Then you turn left on St. Mary Street. You'll run into Broadway St. and you'll see the church. It's in the center of town across the street from the courthouse. Can't miss it!

INVITATIONS ARE DONE!

Well, I just mailed the last of the wedding invitations! Man, am I glad to be done with those! :) They were very fun to make, but after making 180 of them, it gets a little old. I hope everyone enjoys them. Rehearsal dinner invitations will follow shortly.

WEDDING UPDATE

Looks like everything is falling into place! Almost everything is complete. Just a few things here and there. My main concern was getting those invitations done! Now, I can relax a little. Not for long though! ;) That's ok, I love doing this kinda stuff. Not long and I'll be Mrs. Wade!

BRIDAL SHOWER UPDATE

Well, the date is set for May 2nd at the First Baptist Church Parlor in Stanton. I've just about finished registering for gifts. We're registered at Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, Kathleen's in Stanton, and the Stanton Flower shop. The Walmart and Bed Bath registries are available to look at online.

Our wedding invitations will be sent out in the next week or so. Wow, time has flown by and I'll be married before I know it! CRAZY! I've just about got everything done! :)

DON'T TELL...

Kelly that I posted these pics of him, but look! :) He sure can clean up, huh? LOL! He's so cute. I like him both ways. Hehe. His tux was a little short in the arms, but we've still got time to fix that.

AND "BABY COGGIN" IS A.....

GIRL!!!!! I can't believe it!! Ryan and Monica are having a little girl! That is just so exciting!!! They are calling her Lina! I don't have to call her "Baby Coggin" anymore. :) Little Lina. Lina is actually Monica's middle name. I think it's very pretty! They haven't decided on a middle name for her yet, but will soon! Here's a picture of HER. ;) Girls rule.

PHONE IS BACK IN BUSINESS

Well, took my phone down to AT&T and told them what was wrong. All they did was reset it and it was back to normal. I didn't know that if you held the top "power" button and the big button at the bottom down at the same time that it would reset your phone! Duh!! Who knew? ;) Anyway, it has been working great this weekend. Hopefully, I won't have anymore issues!

PHONE ISSUES

I've been having trouble with my phone the past couple of months. It decided when it wanted to work. It always got better so I never got it fixed. Well, it finally decided not to work at all so if anyone is trying to reach me I've switched back to my old phone number. Luckily, my parents kept it. Sorry to anyone who has tried to reach me! If you don't have my old phone number you can email me at teej1025@yahoo.com and I'll give it to you. I'm going to check to see what I'm going to have to do with my phone this weekend. It's an i-phone so I'll probably end up having to send it to Apple. Which stinks. Of course, I have to have the phone that messes up!!! I guess I'll probably end up having to keep my old phone for a while. Darn it!!! :(

100 DAY MARK!!

WELL, WE ARE NOW 100 DAYS AWAY FROM GETTING MARRIED!! I'LL SOON BE MRS. KELLY WADE!! :)

UPDATES:

This past weekend, My mom and I went to pick out flowers and decorations! It's going to be SO SO pretty!! Don't want to say much about how it will look, but keep in mind that my colors are tropical blue and black, my flowers are orange and pink, and my theme is still "Paris".

Then, we went and met with a photographer and booked her! I was really wanting my sister-in-law to take the pictures at the wedding, but she is in the ceremony and will be 8 months pregnant! Didn't think she would want to be walking around taking pictures all night! We don't want her to have the baby at the wedding now do we? HAHA! No stress for the future "Coggin Mommy"! That kind of stuff should only be happening to me on that day! ;) Hehe. Anyway, my sister-in-law did help me pick out a good one! Her name is Angela Free. Check out her web page and you'll see that she is pretty awesome and she was really a nice person to talk to! Very down to earth! http://www.angelafree.com/

I'm finishing up invitations. I've decided that I will send them out around the beginning of April, but I did need a better head count for decoration purposes and will need to have a bridal shower list. I think there is going to be around 150 invitations sent out.

The Stanton paper lost the picture and write-up that I sent them, so just sent it to them again. I'm thinking they will have it in the paper soon enough. I have contacted the Big Spring paper about it and they have not responded. They put our write-up on their web page, but it was never put in the actual paper yet. We were in the Midland paper and their web site on Sunday, the 15th.

The bridal shower is being put together as we speak(or as I'm typing hehe). I have heard rumors of the date and place, but I'll post it when I know for sure. All I'll tell you right now is that it is going to be in Stanton and probably sometime in the month of May. Kelly and I have not registered anywhere yet, but thinking of registering soon when we are both off of work at the same time in Big Spring, Stanton, and Midland. Let you know on the places as soon as that gets done.

Hmmm...I think that's it right now!

Ok, shows what I know!! :D

The announcements in the Big Spring and Stanton paper didn't come out this passed weekend! I apologize! I just assumed since I gave them the information last Monday, that they would be out that following weekend. They should, however, come out in the next paper! I hope! Ha! I can't really tell you exactly what date they will be out. I was told that the Stanton paper only comes out on Thursdays so it should be in the paper this Thursday (12th). I'm not sure about the Big Spring paper. I'm sure we'll be in the next one that comes out. The only paper I know for sure of the date is the Midland paper. We'll be in that one on the 15th. When it does come out, the Midland and Big Spring paper also have a web site online where you can go and look at the announcements if you aren't able to get a paper. Midland is www.mywesttexas.com/life/celebrations/ and the Big Spring site is http://www.bigspringherald.com/content/blogcategory/36/80/. We should be on these sites. I'll let you know for sure as soon as I know.

"Baby Coggin" Update

Christmas

Christmas Eve morning, I went to Stanton and hung out with my family. My brother, sister-in-law, and sister came down from Austin. We did some last minute shopping and just hung out. Kelly had a rig move, but would have the evening off and Christmas day so it was worth it! :)

After Kelly came home that evening, we drove to Big Spring and had Christmas with his Mom's family at his Grandparents house. We opened presents and ate dinner. It was really nice because we don't get to see his family very often. Usually just for Christmas so it was nice to spend some time with them. After we finished up there, we went back home and had decided to have our Christmas with each other that night. We opened everything that we got each other. Kelly got me a beautiful diamond necklace with black and white diamonds! I had never seen black diamonds and I really love them! He also got me some really neat wine accessories that were very much needed. Ha! I got him clothes and a wallet. He really needed it! He still had one more present from me, but it was going to have to wait until Christmas day when we went to my parents house because it was hiding there. :)

On Christmas morning, we went to Kelly's dads house. Kelly's mom and brother were there and we opened presents. We visited and had lunch together. It was good to spend time with them. After lunch, we made it to Stanton to see my family. We opened presents again! Kelly got to open his big present from me. I took him into the garage and surprised him with a new BBQ grill! He was pretty excited because he loves to cook steaks and his old grill was getting pretty beat up! After we opened presents we visited and ate dinner.

We had a wonderful Christmas and were glad to share it with everyone we love! I forgot to take pictures, but I do have a couple of Christmas pics of the dogs! Enjoy!

Our wedding is just around the corner. I'm sure I will be posting wedding updates very soon! Stay tuned...

THANKSGIVING

I had Thanksgiving at home in Stanton with my parents and sister who came home from Austin for the weekend. It was a small Thanksgiving this year. Everyone has different things going this year. It was weird, but understandable, of course. I drove over early on Thanksgiving morning with the pups. As soon as I got there, I started cooking. I had planned to make dessert for my family and Kelly's so I had a lot of baking to do! I made two Pumpkin Rolls and a Chocolate Sheath Cake (Mom's recipe). It all turned out REALLY good! Even though there were only four of us at my parents house, we had a lot of great food and had a good time! I spent all day with them and then around 3:30, Kelly got off work. I drove back to Midland and had Thanksgiving with his dad and brother. Another good meal. We had a good time and enjoyed seeing everyone! I wish we could have made it to Big Spring to see the rest of Kelly's family, but I'm sure we'll see them here in a few weeks for Christmas so it's ok!

The rest of the weekend turned out nice. When my sister came in, we went and ate lunch at Olive Garden and went shoe shopping! Got some cute new shoes that were on sale! :) Then, the day after Thanksgiving my mom and I went shopping in the afternoon. I know we're crazy, but we weren't in any kind of rush and didn't let the crowd get to us. It wasn't too bad. We got a lot of Christmas shopping done and out of the way. Saturday night, Kelly and I met up with my parents and sister at Pizza-ria Venti and had some awesome Italian food and wine. After we ate, we went back to my house and played some games. We played Uno and Apples to Apples. Fun times! The wine made it a little more interesting...haha! Sunday, Kelly and I headed to Stanton for breakfast and to tell my sister bye. Breakfast was AWESOME! My mom cooked waffles, bacon, and eggs. MMMMM!! After we ate and said bye, we went Christmas shopping back in Midland for a while. Then, we came home and put up the tree and decorations. I had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Two more weeks of work and I'm out for Christmas break! I'm sure I'll get to see more people for Christmas. Can't wait! :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now.....Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :)

Dress Update

MY DRESS FITS!!! "Like-uhh-gllllovvve!!" I got it back this weekend from being altered and I got my shoes in the mail the exact same day I went to try it on! Perfect timing. It was so neat to get into my dress and it actually stayed on! It was way to big for me when we bought it, but I knew it would look good after it was fitted to my size! Now, I have a much better idea of what I'm going to look like when I walk down the isle. :) My next challenge is staying the exact same size until June. Haha! I am going to get together with my sister-in-law, Monica, in the next couple of weeks to take my bridal pictures! I already know that they will be just gorgeous!

"Baby Coggin"

This is Monica's first pic of the baby! She is approximately 5 wks. pregnant and everything looks good! :) Everyone is very excited! In case you can't read the writing in the pic it says that the tiny white speck inside the little black circle is the baby and it's in the right spot! It's doing fine! :)

Halloween

Well, this is as dressed up as I got! :) Can you believe I didn't have one trick-or-treater come to our house on Halloween? What the heck??? I went and bought candy and threw up some decorations at the last minute and no one even showed up! This was the first Halloween I was actually home. I was all excited. Oh well. I guess people in Midland don't trick-or-treat much in neighborhoods anymore. When Kell got home, we had fun watching scary movies that night anyway and tried not to eat the big bowl of Halloween candy sitting in front of us. We had a little. Hehe.

"Aunt Teej!" How does that sound?

I got another GREAT birthday surprise this weekend, too. I found out that I'm going to be an Aunt!!! My brother and his wife are having a baby! I know that they will be awesome parents. Isn't that the coolest thing?! We're very excited for them. Could life be any more exciting?! Kelly and I are getting married and Ryan and Monica are having a baby! I'll keep you updated!

My Birthday

My birthday started a little early this year. The girls at work took me to La Mission on Friday for lunch. They surprised me with a sopapilla and birthday song! It was a good time! Saturday the 25th was my birthday. Turned 24! Man, I'm old! I went and got my hair done. Pampered myself a little bit. :) Then, Kelly got home and we went and ate dinner at Carinos. He surprised me and told me that he was able to go to see the band play. He originally had to work, but had asked off a couple of weeks in advance to surprise me. It was sweet. After we ate, we drove to Big Spring to see the Mark McKinney band play at Howard College. It was good to see everyone, as always. They played a good show! After the show, we drove back to Stanton to my parents house and had cake and opened a few presents. Got some new shirts and some nice jewelry. Sunday, Kelly took me down to get all set up with AT&T. He bought me a new phone for my birthday! The iphone. It's AWESOME! I've got a new number now. If anyone doesn't have it, just email me and I'll let you know what it is. Sunday night, Kelly and I had dinner with his parents and brother at Chili's. We went back to Kelly's dads house and had some wine. It was fun! They got me a new bottle of wine for my birthday! Can't wait to try it. (I'm a wine-o!) :) I ended up having a really nice birthday.

Kelly and TJ Update

Kelly has been busy working. That’s just about all he has time to do. For those of you who don’t know what he does, he works for a drilling company called JB Hunt. He is actually a Driller out on one of the drilling rigs. He starts his morning at 4am and comes home about 4pm everyday for two weeks straight. Then he has 4 days off. I don’t know exactly what all he does out there. You would have to ask him! It’s very confusing to me. He could tell you all about it, though. I just know that he is very good at it and really does love doing it. It's a very dangerous job and it takes someone very smart to do what he does. Although it's very dangerous, I don't worry about him too much because I know that he is very careful and has years of experience. He's been working on a rig even before he graduated high school. I still have to worry about him anyway. Just a little! :) I am very proud of him and know that he will only keep moving up in the oil industry. He’s very smart and is a very hard working, determined person. He works hard at everything he does and I know that he will work hard for his future family. I even think that one day he might run his own drilling company. Oh, and by the way, his hometown is Big Spring! Funny how the love of your life was so close, but yet so far away! Oh well, found him anyway!

Ok, what’s been going on with me? Well, most of you know that I graduated from Cosmetology school about a year ago and started working in a salon. After a few months, I just knew it wasn’t for me. After I stopped, I decided that I wanted to try substitute teaching to see what that was all about. I did it for a few months right before school was out for the summer in Stanton. It was really interesting and fun being up there around my mom. It was strange being on the other side of things. Being the teacher instead of the student after all these years! Well, summer had arrived and I didn’t have a job again so I decided to start looking back at Midland College where I worked part-time while going to school. I applied for a few jobs there and nothing seemed to be working out. Then, all of a sudden, a job was available! My former boss and friend from Midland College had emailed me letting me know that she was resigning. It was the same job that I had part-time except it was full-time! I ended up getting it and that’s where I am today. I am a full-time clerk for the faculty work room. I recently figured out that I am only three classes away from having an Associates in General Studies so I’m going to go ahead and finish that up. Then, I don’t really know? I am thinking of going back to school eventually for some type of Business degree or possibly teaching. Right now, I'm just really tired of school. I know I will do something. I'll figure it out one day.

Engagement Pictures

Thanks to my awesome Sister-in-law, Monica, I have the BEST enagement pictures ever! If you haven't checked her new web site out, do! It's under my favorites. (More of these in our photo album).
